If I need to control gain from the basement (broadcast console) I can use the computer control of the x32 and adjust the gain that way. Though doing it the way you said where FOH has gain control is fine with me.

I did see a video on how to connect 2 s16s to 2 consoles at one time. The rack and 2nd stage box arrived a few days ago though my son has been sick this week so I have not been able to go down there yet and configure it yet. This one next to the console for the wireless system.

We now need to add the x32 rack and 2nd s16 stage box. We have had the one x32 console for a few years with one s16 stage box.

It's been a while since I touched either of them. Maybe there's a later firmware that Nov 2019, which enables them to connect to two consoles. In the attached picture, 32 inputs from stageboxes are forwarded over AES50-B inputs 1-32, and all FOH console outputs are forwarded over AES50-B inputs 33-48.īe advised, that S16 stageboxes can not be connected via AES50 to two X32's at the same time. I did not completely understand which signals the OP needs to route to the BCAST console.Īnyway, on the X32 FOH you assign the sources you need to send to X32 BCAST to AES50-B outputs. X32 BCAST should use the AES50-A (which is connected to X32 FOH) as clock source. That's why I tried this with S16 without RTFM'ing first.Īnswering to the OP, over AES you should do it like this: S32 stageboxes *can* be connected via AES50 to two X32's at the same time. AES50 supports 48 channels of bidirectional audio.ĪFAIK Ultranet is limited to 16 channels.Be advised, that S16 stageboxes can not be connected via AES50 to two X32's at the same time. So I can give it a try then.If you need 32 channels from the stage boxes to both consoles and 2 additional channels from the first console to the second console, the easiest option is probably to use the second option from my previous post. I only need 2 channels from one console to the other. Anyways, I could run the 32 from the snake box to both consoles right? Then send from one console to the next through a Aux channel using aes50 right? Would that work?

I though it was 32 plus the 6 aux channels. Then port AES50A connects to S16 stage box then stage box AES50B to the next stage box AES50A. Console 1 connects to console 2 via AES50B to console 2 AES50A. It is perfectly fine for one console to control the gain.Īt 18.49 It shows a diagram. Then we need the 32 channels on each console. You'll have to route the AES50A inputs to the AES50 B outputs on the first console and the second console will have be set to use the AES50 as a clock source.ĪFAIK Ultranet is limited to 16 channels.I only need 2 channels from one console to the other. You can also connect port A of one stage box to one console, connect the port B of the same stage box to the port A of the other stagebox and connect port B of the first console to the port A or B of the second console. The mixer connected to the A ports will control the gains. You can run two cables from each AES50 A port on the stageboxes to one mixer and two more cables to from the AES50 B ports to the other mixer. Only one console will be able to control the gains, though.
